TOLEDO, Ohio –  Registration opens at 12:01am, Monday, May 23 for local thrill-seekers to sign-up to go ‘Over the Edge for Victory’. The 16-story descent takes 85 brave individuals up to the roof of 300 Madison Ave. before sending them over the edge and down to the landing zone on Friday, September 9, 2022..

Over the Edge for Victory is an exciting event in which ‘edgers’ commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 in exchange for the opportunity to rappel. Onsite training is provided by a professionally certified team. TVC holds the exclusive rights to license this type of fundraiser in a four county area.

2021 was a banner year for the non-profit. Last August, over $170,000 was raised through sponsorships, donations, and individual and team fundraising efforts at the 5th Annual Over the Edge. The cancer survivors, patients, and caregivers served by The Victory Center show courage in the face of adversity every day. The website for registration and to find more information about this event is: www.OTE4Victory.org

Volunteers are needed on the ropes! Anyone with rock-climbing experience is encouraged to help out. Other volunteers are needed to escort rappellers to the roof, run GoPro cameras up to the 8th floor, hand out water bottles, and to organize the Landing Zone activities. Contact Kimberly Newman with any questions or inquiries.

The Victory Center was founded in 1996 to support and educate cancer patients and those closest to them by providing programs and services aimed at meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those touched by cancer. Services are provided at no cost to patients, and all donations are fully tax deductible.
