The Victory Center shares oncology therapy with the community

TOLEDO, Ohio – Providing nearly 10,000 units of service each year, The Victory Center caters to cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers with programming, 1-on-1 services, and support groups. For its second annual Wellness Expo, TVC brings together oncology-trained therapists to explain how their services help participants and promote healing.

“When someone joins The Victory Center for the first time, we sit down with them in what we call a ‘Welcome Orientation,’” explains TVC Executive Director, Dianne Barndt. “It’s their first introduction to us as an organization and our first introduction to them as a participant,” she continues. “Our Wellness Expo is a kind of Welcome Orientation for the community as a whole”.

Featuring demonstrations from over half a dozen therapists, the Wellness Expo is open to the public from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, October 15 at The Victory Center’s flagship location in Toledo at 3166 N. Republic Blvd.

Milan Mihalek, a Reflexologist, has been with The Victory Center for nearly 25 years. His reflexology demonstration will include techniques for improving circulation, alleviating stress, and increasing relaxation. Other therapists on-hand at the expo will include: Yoga instructor, Mike Zerner, retired art teacher, Dottie Huls, Power of Acceptance facilitator, Jane Lutz, and healing practitioner, Connie Nuhfer.
